Tuesday morning, didn't started the day very well, shan't talk about it here... Went for the appointment with my mum... Guess things might change soon... New lease of life? Dunno... Anyway, after that went to Amk Hub to meet Yibin, Leonard, Louis and Jun Wei... They bought the movie tickets, then went to eat... Kah Hoe joined us... Watched Bedtime Stories... Quite a good show, though I sort of agree that happy endings are seriously rare... Haha ok, negative thought.... Ignore it...
Today, went to see BK... Totally no comments on that... After that, spent practically the whole afternoon alone, walking around, then going to Bishan library to read comics... Man I'm seriously bored... Might have gone to meet a friend, but in the end didn't... Oh yah, sorry I couldn't join you guys Jon, was in Chs attire... Imagine wearing that and going down to Orchard to shop... Haha... Bumped into Mr Thomas at about 5+pm... Talked a bit, then accompanied him to some video shop where he wanted to rent movies... Haha... Have fun watching all of them Mr T! 4 movies by tomorrow? Haha.... Anyway, going to cousin's house (again) for countdown soon...
No idea why, maybe I'm still in the transition stage or something, but I suddenly don't really like what I'm doing? Hope it's not because my passion's dying or something... No idea why... Guess sometimes being a follower is really much better, cause the expectations aren't that high, more fun also anyway... Oh well... See how things go I guess... Hi all... Initially wanted to go to army market to get some stuff, but didn't in the end... Got a call from Yibin and ended up going to Yishun to play basketball with some members of 29th Batch... Met Kah Hoe, Leonard, Clifton, Louis and Wei Rong there... Played for a while, then played with Da Wei and his friend for while then we went to Wei Rong's house to rest for a while... Tried the Wii boxing... Got owned... Haha... At about 6+pm, went back to play again... Played till like 8pm I think? Then the rest went for dinner and I came home... It's been a really long time since I played basketball like that... Damn fun... Think the last time I did this was after Prelim 3? Oh well, good exercise... Haha... Furthermore, got to meet up with those from 29th Batch (whom I haven't seen in quite some time) So yah, thanks for today guys =)

Ok, these 2 days have been kind of interesting... Yesterday, met Wen Qi at Orchard to go buy the presents... Went to eat first... At first wanted to eat at Taka, then ended up going to Cathay, then on the way there these people from Razor Tv or something came up to us to interview us... Wen Qi daoed them and walked off... Haha... End up I had to crap a bit then as what Wen Qi says "entertain them a bit"... Haha... Can't believe I did that though... Went to Long John Silver, Mick joined us... Ate, bought our stuff, then went to play pool... Went to Pasir Ris after that, walked around White Sands mall, bumped into Tong Yang... Haha... Stoned at Macs, met Terence, then went to the chalet... Whole event was pretty fun I guess... I admit we didn't help to cook, all of us from D'08 (those who were there that is)... Quite a lot of talk cock sessions, then a lot of random stuff... Big thanks to those in the area for helping us "freshmen" blend into the crowd... Oh yah, for the first time I saw our senior Daniel... Heard of him but don't think we've seen him in person before, for me at least... Oh well, better late than never... Haha... Exchange of gifts was another event... Then the other event was someone's birthday, Jack... Saw a very err, dunno how to describe tradition? Haha... Hope I don't tio in the future =x If you were there you would understand what I'm talking about... Haha... Yah, so the whole thing was pretty cool... Then for a certain reason, we went to visit another area's chalet as well (we visited 2 actually, but the second one is the impt one) Yeah, then saw Nicholas Yee, Florence and someone who was also from D'08... Qianying I think? Yah, talked cock again till like 1+am... Big thanks to Theresa ma'am for sending us home =)
Then just now, met the rest at pastamania... Was late by 25 minutes... -.- Then a bunch of us went over... Main objective was to present the little figurine to him... Then we were there talking about a lot of stuff... Was kind of surprised at the so called openess of the discussion just now... A lot of issues were touched on... Then everyone had a common enemy... Haha... Well, look forward to changes next year... Haha... Even an issue that I was once very sensitive about was touched on, though I got over it long ago... Oh well... Guess there are things I've yet to learn about certain things and people...
On to other stuff... Heard about the new directives or something... Our NP uniform is about to be revamped? Buttons, badge cap are going to be changed... Even officers' ranks are going to have the NPCC letters, similar to those of a cadet... Oh well... Even we'll be affected... Haiz... Badges are probably going to be changed too... That one, doesn't sound that good, for me at least... Haiz... Anyway, to all 29th Batch people who read this, I've gotten our PYA badges (yah I know it's long overdue)... Will pass them to you guys when I see you... Keep as souvenier... Haha...
Guess I have quite a fair bit of stuff to cover... One issue that I had come across lately was mainly about conflicts... Well, thankfully at the moment, I'm not directly involved any conflicts, or at least I hope not... Yah but well... I know about 3 at the moment... Yah, often conflicts arise from very simple things... Simple stuff like what we say, or our actions... We might not be aware of what we do, sometimes maybe we voice out our unhappiness in a way that ends up offending people, or it can just be some simple miscommunication... Oh well, whatever the case, guess I'll do what I can to help those whom I can help? I know there's one whereby I know whatever I do I can't do anything, cause this persons actions just seem to whack all those who had cared about the issue before... And yah, it dates back to that day... Shan't comment further... Others, well.... I just hope things will clear up for some... It's seriously confusing, when you're the middle man and somehow both parties who're fighting are those whom you're close to... Yah, that situation sucks, really... See how I guess... But yah, don't think people like to be in conflict right? Oh well, only time will tell... Ok, I seriously seem to be ranting for this entire paragraph, sorry....
Ok another issue, just typed one whole damn chunk but I deleted it, cause somethings relly can't be said in places such as here... But well, main point is, I've been a very tolerant person for some time... Tolerating and tanking all the crap, all the I dunno, favouritism? Maybe the term is too strong.... But well... I'll just endure like what I've always been doing... Go ahead and let things go your way... Cause, yah you can communicate with everyone much better than I can right? You go soccer crazy, I don't care, go ahead... Use everything just for your soccer only, I don't care too... Maybe I'm at the wrong place at the wrong time, but yah... I'm seriously wondering just how much more will I be able to take... Cause I'm really afraid that one fine day I'll just explode... I know this matter is really small and nothing really serious, but other factors seem to be come into play and once it accumulates, it isn't a nice feeling... Try stepping into my shoes and you might just get a rough idea... At least luckily, I do have avenues whereby I can get a break from some of this stuff... The recent events might be an example... Rah, I'll just endure through all this... But honestly, it's just a small issue, no idea why I'm taking it this way... Oh well... Some things just aren't supposed to be said... Another issue, I really really can't say it here, kind of private/sensitive... Oh well... We all have secrets don't we?
On a lighter note, a few things to look foward to in January 2009, besides the dreaded results... 29th Batch chalet, 6D chalet (I think it's still on), an upcoming Charlie chalet and even, believe it or not, a 4A class gathering... Haha... Was surprised when Zhao Ming told me about it a few days back... It'll be great to see how everyone has grown up since 2002... Ok, excluding Melvin and Wei Shian, since I used to see them like everyday...
Ok, guess I'll end off... Oh yah Tuesday I might be going for something that might change my life... I don't know though, see what happens... Bye people
Happy Boxing Day people! Wishing all a belated Merry Christmas as well! Haha... Hope everyone's been having some fun at least... Night of 24th, went to cousin's house... Ate, talked, played some random stuff, stoned... Hilary's taking an IT course? Haha... Think the craziest part was that I had actually gone to my cousin's room to sleep for like 20 minutes, and that was at like 11:30pm? Haha... Body system is still screwed... Our "countdown" to Christmas was a failure, so we just started wishing each other merry christmas... Sent out tons of messages too... Sorry couldn't send to everyone... Probably going to use up all of my free sms-es for this month, plus more... Yah, then after that, played my cousin's PS3... Ended up staying till 4+am before coming home... Totally shagged... Yesterday, went to SCC and returned to the course for the first time in who know's how long... Played crap, got pissed off, partly due to the fact that I was getting "whacked" for every thing I did... Zzzz... Oh well, it'll be some time before I go back and play golf again I guess...
Today, went out for lunch with my god grandma and brother... Food was pretty good... After that, went to Plaza Sing to supposedly meet Jon and Boon Siang... Unexpectedly bumped into a few Charlie-ans.... Talked/crapped with them and walked around the place... Somehow the company from people of this group simply rocks... The laughter and smiles are really enjoyable... Love Charlie =) In the end, still walked around with Jon and Boon Siang... Came home, then sort of stoned a bit... Was reorganising some of the files in my com just now... Discovered quite a few things I've not seen in a long time... Was also crapping with Ken just now... Chalet's been booked... Yay... Realised that I do miss 29th Batch a lot too, among the people I've been missing... Haha...
Being caught in the middle of some things seriously ain't nice, espcially if you're ok with both sides... Ok, this thing is a bit hard to be typed down... Oh well... Guess I'll try my best to stop some of the disputes... Easier said than done...

Hi all, yesterday, went back for Annual Hike, followed a group... No comments for the group... Whole thing went more or less smoothly I guess, just of course, whatever that needed to be said had been said yesterday already... I realised a lot of people know about someone's situation... Haha... Thanks Sms for sending us to the MRT station... Came home, then went to somewhere in Orchard for some dinner... A gathering for the Taiwan friends, as my parents called it... Was about 2 hours late for the dinner? Haha... Got to meet quite a lot of familiar people... Haha...
Today, went to return No.1 and some other stuff... Met Nigel, Ain, Melvin, Wei Li and Calvin then took the train down... In the end, we were a bit late, though it cannot compare to two very special people who came together half an hour later... Haha... Returned stuff, couldn't change my peak cap... Zzzz... So I'm left with a very screwed peak cap now? Haiz... Received our rank, the cards and our notebook... Thanks everyone for the comments for the cards... Sorry mine's kind of lacking in content... All point form... =p Thanks Panshin for the Christmas cards as well! =) Most probably the last time that we would be gathered together officially as Charlie squad... Going to miss everyone...
Went to eat with some people at Macs, then rushed down to J8 where I met Eugene, Leon, Jonathan, Boon Siang, Wai Yinn and Shi Jie... Watched "Australia"... An almost 3 hour movie? Haha... Haven't seen them for a long time... Now their hair is damn long... Haha... Mine's the shortest there (like duh, just cut last Friday)... Hope to see them again soon...

Ok, this post will be for the investiture... Woke up late in the morning, couldn't meet the rest, but ended up reaching HTA earlier then the rest, cause my Dad sent me over... Haha... Went in, changed into half u, ended up nearly the while Charlie squad was late together... =x Some admin stuff was settled first... Got the letter of recommendation as a CII... Quite surprised by it... Haha... Anyone from Charlie wants to go back next year? After that, put bags in the classroom, then went for rehearsal... Second surprise: won an award, best RC performer for the guys... 0.0 Tio stun... Anyway, went with rehearsal... Lunch was packet food, which was quite nice? Haha... Then I got promoted from being Lillian's maid (called "Maria", I've no idea how this came about) to Lillian's son... Hahaha... After lunch, went back for rehearsal, then went to the classrooms to do up our uniforms... Then it was the actual thing already... There was almost a screw up cause we were putting our head dress in the back room and almost couldn't come out in time... Luckily it was more or less smooth... Ceremony went ahead, presentation or certs, presentation of awards... Kevin was the Valedictorian... Congrats =) Then it was the donning of ranks and recitation of the NP pledge... After that, everyone sort of went crazy... There was a photo frenzy... Everyone started taking photos here and there and the atmosphere was really high... Like what Terence said, the atmosphere was much better than that of SPF badge ceremony that time or NPDP... Charlie's performance was also fun... Guess for the whole event, words can't really describe everything... After the event, debrief, marched to the exit of HTA as a squad for the last time... Took the bus to Lot 1 then went to Macs for supper with Hongliang, Nigel and Lillian... Took one of the last few trains home with Nigel, Lillian and some of our instructors...
Reflection of the course... As mentioned in an earlier post, I was having serious doubts on whether I should have come for the course in the first place... I'm really glad that I made the right choice to continue with the whole journey... I made some very close friends, I learned a lot of stuff, in NPCC context, as well as general stuff, such as lifeskills and all that... For this course, I took on a sort of different persona, I was (most of the time) a very happy guy, smiling and joking here and there, quite opposite of what I was in the past, serious, always frowning... No idea why I wanted to be like that, cause obviously, I was very much happier during this period, despite the tough trainings... In RC1, the instructors asked us to write our goals on the whiteboard... I put "to be a better person"... Have I achieved this? Well, I think more or less I've managed to almost reach it... I've learned how to communicate effectively with my peers, I've learned what it means to be a leader, I've seen different leadership style, different personalities, different reactions to situations... I know what I like and don't like, what people like and don't like (and all these different styles are in a way, the right thing to do, just different approach)... I'll do my best to integrate all these positive leadership styles into my own and do well as a leader... Oh well... All these times spent during the course will now be just memories... Cherish them, I will, remember them always, I shall... Haha Yoda-ish language... Guess stuff like this is better off said rather than typed... I'll make other changes to the post if I need to I guess... I'm starting to forget stuff again...
Anyway yesterday, met up with Nigel and Lillian for lunch at the 628 food centre there... We met Jeffrey, an Area 3 CI whom I just met... After that, went to AMK library to borrow some books, which were mostly comics (I'm not a mugger ok, Lillian)... Then went to Nigel's house for a while... Thanks for lending me the Ironman and X-Men 3 CDs! Can watch liao... Yay... =)

Ok, I haven't really updated in a long time... Guess I'll first talk about RC2 and ATC... RC2, started off with the classification shoot... We used .38 revolvers... More or less the same as .22 except that the recoil was much larger, which kind of hurt my hand a bit... Managed to to get my cluster, except that it was at around the bottom area of the target... Zzz... Estimated score is about 140++ I think? Ok, whatever... Bunch of lectures here and there... First day of RC2 was also Melvin's birthday... Haha... So fun, sing birthday song for him... Then there was also the "night pt" thing for lifeskills lesson, which probably wore everybody out... Still, it was fun... Haha... Arms drill and baton drills were fun... Cane drill and sword drill rocked... Haha... Managed to pass all my CAs and assessments... Yay =) More or less sums up RC2 I guess... Some of the stuff is hard to put in words, and if I were to go into detail, this would take hours to type... Anyway, time spent with Charlie was most important... Haha...
ATC, first day already worn out due to the carrying of the spars from across the campsite... Haha... There was also some blackout in the night... Mock campfire was brought foward as a result... Everyone got high 48 hours before the actual campfire... Haha... Some even started to lose their voices... Haha... Camp fam in the dark was quite cool... Thankfully I had quite a nice place to talk about, which was council ring... Haha... Tent pitching wise, ended up having one peg missing, not sure whether it was found in the end or not... Activities were interesting, rafting, orienteering, land expedition etc etc... Guess knowing the theory for orienteering isn't enough... Got confused when trying to plot our checkpoints... Haha... Rafting was also sort of a first for me, since I didn't get to do it in Sec 3 due to the weather... Pretty fun... Campfire was a blast... I remember Jia Han telling me about how hyped up and fun the course's campfire was... True... Everyone participated and the thing was damn cool... Even Mr Song crapped along with us... Haha... The MCs were damn cool also... Our group act, ended up becoming the narrator... Skit was damn funny... CIT Peirera!! Wonder if Ashwin will ever see this... Haha... Group sharing, we made comments about (almost) everyone on paper... Someone wrote that I was "A fighting machine packed with......" Haha, fighting machine? Make me sound like Xavier lah... XD Most of the comments talked about how I had helped people, motivate, talk a lot etc etc... Shan't say much... Thanks for the comments guys =) Oh yah, before campfire there was the "special dinner", quite cool and some people were together again... =p Last day of ATC, area cleaning... No comments... Charlie people kept leaving halfway cause we needed to present our performance to Mr Song and some others.... Haha... Group sharing again... Learnt quite a bit of stuff... After that, there was the mass gathering thing then the instructors came to give out collar pins for something and also comments... Thanks Zhi Guang sir for the collar pin and comments =) Received quite a few comments from some instructors... Hao Jun sir said that I seemed like a very mature person and should learn to apply what I'm able to see to help others... Hui Ping ma'am said that I seem like a person who thinks a lot and the way I communicate with others is quite good... Joseph sir said that I must remember to apply what I've learnt in future, like in area events etc... Jiamin ma'am talked a bit of what I'd shared during the previous night's debrief... Zhuang Yi ma'am said that I can be more confident in myself... Caine sir asked me whether I was ready to be a CI, then I replied "not sure"... Haha... He asked me whether I want to go run the mass run route again or not... Haha... The comments were more or less like that I think... Anyway, thanks to all the instructors for their comments =)
Finished ATC, went to Changi jetty (at last), got our butts burned for a while, then we went to Changi village to eat... Nigel lost his wallet, then he sian sian over there, thankfully he ate some stuff... Then halfway during the camp he got some deep cut from opening canned food... You should have seen the look on someone's face when he tio cut (it was quite serious at first)... Oh well... Ate stuff, then came home, took a nice long shower... =)
Well, believe it or not, after ATC Charlie went out on our first gathering... Met Lillian and Cumaran then went to Toa Payoh... Ate at Pizza Hut! Haha, we were a damn rowdy lot, but it was tremendous fun!!! Some pics of the night =)

Hi all... About 1/3 of my journey is over... Before RC1 I was having serious doubts about the course... After some help from some people, I decided to just go ahead with it anyway... Conclusion? In a sense, I don't really regret joining... For one, I'm kind of blessed to be in Charlie squad... The people in Charlie rock.... Most of us can click quite well with one another... So far, so good I guess... Most of my bunkmates are ok too... So yeah... Trainings have been tiring... Lot's of info to absorb... Of course, everything's not just drills and campcraft... The lifeskills learnt there have also been useful... First day of the course for dunno what reason tio squad i/c... Didn't know what to do or what to expect as I had missed the course briefing, so well, blur king I guess... Guess I did screw up my role a bit... Haha... My squad instructors are also great people... Hao Jun sir and Zhuang Yi ma'am... They might have been harsh at times, but they still care... =) Somehow the world is a bit small huh... Like one of my squadmate's brother turns out to be my senior... Haha...
Saturday went for our NRC at Ubin... Did tent pitching, flagstaff and water confidence jump... Pretty fun I guess... The water confidence jump thing was part of some course for us... The sensation was pretty cool... After jumping, as most people have described, there'll be like a "why haven't reach yet?" feeling... Next thing you know, splash! Of course, not forgetting the very salty sea water... Camp recee, went running around some places in Noordin camp... After that, gather back, settle stuff, then left Ubin... Honestly, one day I should go to Ubin just for fun... Cause everytime I've been there it's always for some NP reason... Haha... Before dismissal we were told to do more lesson plans for our assessments... Crap lah... The explanation of the thing wasn't exactly very comprehendable either... Ah well... Later must chiong finish everything... Went to eat dinner with members of Charlie squad, then took 59 with Terence, Hong Liang, Wei Liang, Nicholas, Sylvia and Panshin... Like what Joseph Lim said to me before, if you've people to talk to, a 1 hour long bus ride can seem like 20 minutes... Very true indeed... Haha...
As for yesterday, spent the day lazing around, playing the PS2 that we borrowed... Finally managed to get DW4 from my cousin... Yay... For some reason, my body system seems to be a little screwed up at the moment... Can't seem to eat much, can't seem to sleep well enough... I still feel lethargic even after like a 8 hour sleep? Oh well... After the 20th then go and slowly recover bah... For now, endure!
Right now, maybe because I haven't really seen anyone since my trip, I'm starting to miss 4-10 people, 29th Batch, other CHS people, of course not forgetting CHS itself... Arrrghhh.... These are going to be under my "To-do" list for after the 20th... Don't think any Charlie-ians know of this blog yet, with the exception of Terence (Lim)... Haha... Oh well... See who can discover this site first... =D And I swear Terence is getting lamer and crapping more and more by the day man... Combine him with other people who are just as lame and we'll have snow in Singapore very soon... Haha...
